Hall County Sheriff's deputies arrested a married couple Wednesday for allegedly robbing the wife's 81-year-old grandfather of his tractor in Hall County last month.

Samuel Dean Bashlor, 26, and Megan Teresa Bashlor, 28, both of Nicholson, are each charged with robbery by force and exploitation of an elderly person.  Samuel Bashlor also faces a charge of battery, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware.

The incident happened on Thursday, August 25, according to Ware, when the duo robbed the victim of his John Deere tractor.

"Samuel Bashlor grabbed the victim by his arms leaving visible bruising and held him while Megan loaded the tractor on their vehicle," Ware wrote in a news release.

Ware said the crime happened on Burton Circle at the victim's home.  The 81-year-old man reported the crime.

Both suspects were booked into the Hall County Jail early Wednesday morning.  The tractor has since been recovered, according to Ware.
