DANVILLE, Ky. — The Lady Lion soccer team wrapped up the opening weekend of tournament play, facing tournament host No. 5 Centre College in a 1-0 loss to the Colonels. Centre scored the lone goal of the contest in the 50th minute, securing the shutout victory and moving to 3-0 overall.
Piedmont did not have many offensive opportunities in the game, as the Colonels held the Lady Lions to just one shot and no shots on target in the contest. Centre's offense was firing away as the Colonels took a total of 16 shots though only six were on frame.
