An open house is planned for Wednesday evening at Suwanee City Hall to showcase plans for "Town Center West."

The event, which will not have any kind of formal presentation, runs from 4 to 7 p.m.

Officials said in a news release that Wednesday night's event will reveal the results of a citizen survey conducted in May, which consisted of online and in-person surveys.

"We received over one thousand completed surveys from citizens with ideas for the new park," said Suwanee Assistance City Manager Denise Brinson.

"What we will be presenting at the open house is a draft of the concept plan; we're still asking for input, and hope to have a finalized plan in the near future."

The property, otherwise known as the DeLay Property, is located behind the Suwanee Library on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

Officials said the concept plan includes a mixture of urban and rural environments, with a small water feature that includes a bridge.

It will also include a plaza, lawn area and volleyball courts.

City staff will be on hand at the open house to answer and resident or stakeholder questions.
