Posted 1:01PM on Wednesday 31st August 2016 ( 8 years ago )

The opening of the Splash Park in downtown Sugar Hill, originally scheduled for Thursday evening, has been pushed back to Friday evening.

The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. behind city hall, with food trucks and music, according to a press release.

No official reason has been given for the delay.

The new fountain contains more than 70 nozzles and an LED lighting system that can be synchronized to music.

It will be open weekdays between April and October each year.

City officials began testing the fountain, and posted a short video of it on social media.
