If he had his choice, North Hall running back Kyle Bacus would avoid the spotlight altogether.
But the way the Trojans senior is playing so far this season, the spotlight has found him – and is burning bright.
In two games this season, Bacus has lit up opposing defenses and been the spark for North Hall’s offense, rushing for 428 yards and six touchdowns – including an explosive performance in Friday night’s 21-20 defeat of Flowery Branch, as he piled up 229 yards and three touchdowns.
For his efforts, Bacus has been named the Friday Game Night Locos Grill and Pub Player of the Week. (NOTE: To watch a video interview with Bacus and the presentation of his award, simply click "play" in the box above.)
It has not all come easy for Bacus this season, as he has battled nagging injury – including bruised ribs – but it is impossible to tell by the way the senior has performed.
In fact Bacus is responsible for almost two-thirds of the Trojans’ rush yardage so far this season – helping North Hall to its first 2-0 start to a season since 2013.
AccessWDUN sports and Friday Game Night editor Morgan Lee recently caught up with Bacus to present him with his award and talk over his incredible start to the season and where North Hall football is headed in 2016.
