A traffic shift is planned for Thursday evening as crews continue to widen Ga. 20 near Sugar Hill.
The lane change is scheduled to occur between 8 p.m. and midnight, impacting about three miles of roadway between Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Suwanee Dam Road, according to a press release from the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation.
This is the last two-lane section of Ga. 20 in the county, officials said.
Flaggers will be in the area to direct traffic during the construction period.
“I’m pleased to see these traffic shifts occurring because it means this important project is getting closer to completion,” said Jace Brooks, district one commissioner.
