North Georgia Tech Foundation receives donation from Young Harris church

Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church in Young Harris recently donated $5,202 from its annual rummage sale to the North Georgia Technical College Foundation.

According to Cynthia Brown, Director of the NGTC Foundation, the funds will be used to provide scholarships for tuition, books and fees for NGTC students from Towns County with demonstrated financial need. A portion of the donation also will be used to cover GED administrative testing fees for Towns County students needing financial assistance.

The Missions Committee of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church has made annual donations to the NGTC Foundation since 2010.
