CLARKESVILLE — A Cleveland woman was rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a single-vehicle wreck in western Habersham County just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Sandra E. Autry, 31, of Cleveland was traveling north on Preacher Campbell Road in a blue Honda Odyssey van, said Trooper 1st Class A. Walden of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.

Autry's van was traveling north on Preacher Campbell Road negotiating a slight curve when it traveled off the road onto the east shoulder and began to rotate counterclockwise before striking a utility pole with its front, Walden said.

The van then began to overturn down a slight embankment, striking a fence and coming to final rest in a field facing west on the east shoulder of the road.

Crews from Habersham Electric Membership Corp. were on scene to remove the downed power lines and repair the damage.

Walden said the extent of Autry's injuries are unknown at this time.
