Forsyth County has hired a new director of public facilities, officials announced Thursday.
Dennis Daniel officially enters his new role on Aug. 15, where he will direct "operations and activities involving maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds of Forsyth County facilities," according to a news release.
Daniel also will manage the county's capital projects.
He holds a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering from North Carolina A&T.
“We are pleased to have Dennis join the Forsyth County staff,” said Doug Derrer, county manager.
“In addition to his strong facilities management experience, he brings to the position skills in strategic planning and industry knowledge in safety and regulatory compliance."
