GAINESVILLE — The Chestatee girls softball team pounded out 12 hits en route to an 8-0 victory Wednesday at Talon Field.
Elizabeth and Rebecca Eddins combined for a one-hitter in the circle as the Lady War Eagles (2-0) have yet to give up a run in the early going. The shutout Lumpkin County 8-0 on Monday.
Bailey Mason and Hannah Jones each had three hits and Rebecca Eddins and Katilyn Babb had two hits apiece for Chestatee. Elizabeth Eddins and Danielle Ortega each had one hit for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee next will travel to Rabun County on Thursday.
Gainesville (1-1) is off until taking on Chestatee again on Saturday at Piedmont College.
