A Jackson County woman faces a list of largely drug-related charges after being arrested inside her Statham residence last week.
Sandra Denise Sims, 52, was arrested Friday after investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office searched her home and discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana and assorted schedule IV drugs, which largely come in the form of pills.
The convicted felon was also found to be in possession of numerous firearms, according to county Sheriff Janus Mangum in an email sent to local media Monday evening.
Mangum said the search was conducted after investigators received "information regarding possible drug activity at Sims residence."
Sims was transported to the Jackson County Jail after her arrest, where she remains at the time of publication.
Charges currently pending against Sims are as follows:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Schedule IV Drugs
- Possession of Schedule IV Drugs with the Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce
- Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
- Pills not in Original Container
