Qualifying begins Monday for a special city council election in Clermont.
The winner will fill the unexpired term of Eric Thomas, Ward 1 councilman, who resigned in May.
Qualifying will run through Wednesday, each day from 8:30-4:30. The special election will be held in conjunction with the General Election on Nov. 8.

Clermont has struggled to keep a full council in place since last fall when one elected official passed away before he could take office and another resigned and no one qualified to fill the post.
