Forsyth County commissioners voted Thursday to hold the county's millage rate steady for fiscal year 2017.
It will remain 8.036 mills, according to a press release from Jodi Gardner, county spokeswoman.
The millage rate is technically considered a tax increase, since it will not be revenue neutral compared to fiscal year 2016, but it's possible property owners could see their tax rates hold steady — or even drop, depending on reassessment values.
Commissioners will officially adopt the county's budget in November.
