A fraud investigation has been opened into Adult Literacy Barrow, though officials are being tight-lipped beyond that.
"The only information the (Barrow County) Sheriff’s Office will release at this time is that they currently have a suspect in this case, and they have been in contact with that person," said Cpt. Ryan Sears in a statement.
He said the sheriff's office will be in contact with the district attorney's office at a later date.
Sears added that more information will be released when it becomes available.
The board of directors alerted deputies to the alleged crime.
