One killed, two injured in Cumming crash

The victim has of a Friday afternoon two-car crash in Cumming has been identified.

According to Sgt. Tim Meyer of the Georgia State Patrol Cumming Post, Quinton Lord, age 81 of Cumming, was killed in the accident.

According to Georgia State Patrol Corporal J.A. Caldwell, the wreck happened just before 4:00 when a red Chevrolet Silverado ran a red light on Market Place Boulevard and hit the driver's side of Lord's Mercury Marquis that was leaving the Cumming Town Center Mall.

Lord and both passengers were injured and taken to North Fulton Hospital. Caldwell said the status of the passengers, a 5-year-old girl and a 54-year-old woman, are unknown.

Caldwell said the driver of the Silverado, identified as 21-year-old Jackson Martin of Cumming, suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.
