Leigh Sears is the recipient of the 2016 John Yates Scholarship sponsored by the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders.
Sears is the Director of Student Engagement and Intervention for the Gainesville City School System. She was recognized at the 2016 GAEL Summer Conference held recently at Jekyll Island.
Each year GAEL in cooperation with Horace Mann awards two scholarships to GAEL members engaged in graduate study.
