Old Atlanta Road is open again at Sharon Road in Forsyth County after crews repaired a gas main rupture.
Traffic was rerouted into a strip shopping center around lunch time, according to Forsyth County Fire Divsion Chief Jason Shivers, and South Forsyth Middle School, which is across the street from the line, was never in danger, though the only people on the campus are construction crews.
Epifanio Rodriguez, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman, said in an email that a one-inch line was ruptured around midday Monday.
The road re-opened around 12:45 p.m.
