An intersection in West Hall has been named in memory of a soldier who was killed in action in Afghanistan eight years ago.
Signs have been erected at Mundy Mill and McEver roads designating the Corporal Matthew Britten Phillips Memorial Intersection. Corporal Phillips attended West Hall High School, according to Georgia Senate resolution calling for a crossroads to be dedicated in his memory.
