Members of the Flowery Branch city council will consider a few financial items when they convene this week, including the loan for financing the new city hall.
Council members will consider four potential options from J.P. Morgan Chase Bank for the $4,000,000 project, two of them lasting for 13 years, the other two lasting 15, according to city documents.
Interest rates would range between 1.58 percent (13 year, no optional redemption) to 1.75 percent (15 year, with optional redemption), depending on which option council members choose.
Council will also consider a $20-thousand contract for audio, visual, communications and security design plans for the new building. That funding would come from a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) approved by voters.
That contract would be with Wakefield Beasley & Associates, an Atlanta company that has also done work for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Gwinnett County Police and Berkley Lake government.
Council will consider both these matters at their voting meeting Thursday night at 6:30 at Flowery Branch city hall.
