Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Municipal Association. He was one of several new officers installed at the group’s annual meeting in Savannah earlier this week.
Dunagan will also serve as President of GMA’s 2nd District and as Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee. The district includes cities in the following counties: Towns, Rabun, Union, Lumpkin, White, Habersham, Stephens, Franklin, Banks, Hart, Dawson, Hall and Forsyth.
As a policy chairman, Dunagan will also serve on the GMA Legislative Policy Council.
