A risk management firm plans to locate two of its subsidiaries in Flowery Branch with intentions to employ 150 people by the end of 2017.
Purcellville, Virgina-based Lowers Risk Group is working to locate its Wholesale Screening Solutions and Georgia Public Records Solutions businesses into an existing building. The nearly 19,660 square-foot office is on Spout Springs Road, southeast of Hog Mountain Road.
"This expansion improves our ability to scale for our continued growth, and is an important part of our business continuity plan," Wholesale Screening Solutions President Matthew Lowers said.
The company, ranked twice in the Inc. 5000 for being among the fastest growing privately-held businesses in America, plans to hire 50 new employees by October.
"The company has had great response to filling key leadership positions and has started the recruitment and selection process for criminal research analysts," Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Economic Development Tim Evans said.
The Georgia Department of Labor is helping to recruit those analysts. Lanier Technical College and the Quick Start Training program are expected to help with job training needs during the Flowery Branch start-up period.
The additional 100 hires are expected by the end of 2017.

The chamber announced the Lowers expansion in a media release Tuesday.
