No one was injured, but a metal structure covering the gas pumps at a convenience store on Cornelia Highway collapsed during a thunderstorm Monday night.

Hall County Fire Capt. Zachary Brackett said the structure came down as the storm passed over the Lula area.

No other damage was reported at the Chevron convenience store, which is located at the corner of Georgia Highway 365 north and Georgia Highway 52.

Brackett said the matter has been turned over to Hall County Building Inspections.
