Motorists can expect some delays on Spout Springs Road near Lake Sterling Boulevard this week as road crews clear brush and vegetation in preparation for the installation of a new traffic light.

Hall County officials say the work will begin Monday and continue daily through the middle of the week, 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m., but that the delays will be "minimal."

The Hall County Board of County Commissioners authorized installation of the traffic light at its May 26 meeting. The traffic signal is jointly funded by Hall County Government, the City of Flowery Branch and Newland Communities.

"This is a great partnership between the county, City of Flowery Branch and the developer of Sterling on the Lake," Hall County Administrator Randy Knighton said. "The installation of the traffic signal is vitally important to ensure proper traffic flow along this corridor. The traffic signal should facilitate safer traffic conditions at this intersection."
