The Georgia State Patrol says a Gainesville man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident in East Hall County.
Corporal Austin Allen said 28-year-old Dustin Cain was driving northbound on Harmony Church Road just after 1:00 a.m. when he swerved across the southbound lanes and into a ditch. Cain continued through the ditch for nearly 200 feet before hitting an embankment, going airborn and hitting a tree. Cain died of his injuries.
Allen says while officials do not know the reason Cain swerved, alcohol is suspected in the accident.
