Lumpkin's Howard amongst UNG spring basketball signing class

DAHLONEGA — University of North Georgia men's basketball coach Chris Faulkner has announced that five additional recruits have inked with the Nighthawks as part of the 2016 signing class. Denzell Hosch, Jack Howard, Myles Mann, Duke Robinson and Ephriam Tshimanga have each signed to join the UNG men's basketball team next season.

The signees will join Ross Morkem (Lambert) who signed during the early signing period in November to complete the class for the 2016-17 season. 

"We are excited about our entire recruiting class and feel like we have addressed our needs for the upcoming season. All of our signees will be immediate impacts for our program and give us a great deal of versatility on the court," stated Faulkner. "Each of these young men have played in winning programs and will be ambassadors for our program on and off the floor."

2016 UNG SIGNING CLASS

Denzell Hosch - 6'0 Freshman Guard, Shelby, N.C. / Shelby HS 
Averaged 20.6 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds

Faulkner on Hosch: "Denzell is a dynamic guard who can score in multiple ways. He as the ability to guard different positions and will bring us great leadership and help solidify our backcourt."


Jack Howard - 6'4 Freshman Guard, Dahlonega, Ga. / Lumpkin County 
Averaged 18.6 points, seven rebounds and five assists
Led LCHS to school record 19 wins and State Tournament appearance

Faulkner on Howard: "Jack is a prolific shooter that will fit perfectly in our style of play. He has a great work ethic and will help provide us with perimeter scoring."


Myles Mann - 6'6 Junior Forward, Atlanta, Ga. / Westlake
Transfer from Farleigh Dickinson
Played in 24 games as a sophomore averaging 5.3 minutes per game

Faulkner on Mann: "Myles is a physical post player that will bring an immediate impact to our interior. He will give us experience in the post and be a physical presence on both ends of the floor."


Duke Robinson - 6'4 Junior Guard, Albany, Ga. / Westover
Transfer from South Georgia State College
Averaged nine points, five rebounds and four assists

Faulkner on Robinson: "Duke is a versatile perimeter player that can play any variety of positions for us. He will give us the ability to play him at any spot on the floor and can guard multiple positions."


Ephriam Tshimanga - 6'1 Freshman Point Guard, Acworth, Ga. / Allatoona
Averaged 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals
Led team to back-to-back state championship games in 2015 and 2016

Faulkner on Tshimanga: "Ephriam is a winner! He is a tremendous competitor and has a knack for making plays. His ability to defend the ball and create off the dribble makes him an immediate impact for us."
