The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee announces the 2016 Residential Beautification Award from various sections of Gainesville-Hall County. Award nominations are made by neighbors and friends and selected by members of the Chamber's Beautification Committee.
Award recipients included Bob and Pat Bittinger, 2519 Venture Circle in Gainesville (City of Gainesville Winner) Billy and LaTrell Thomas, 6448 Payne Road in Murrayville (Hall County Winner).
“Billy and LaTrell Thomas have done all their gardening themselves for the last 10 years,” said Robin Halstead, Chamber Vice President of Community Development. “Their home includes four acres of stunning scenery, mountains, and the lawn is just fantastic. Their vegetable garden is huge, and they formerly sold their produce to local farmers markets.
“Bob and Pat Bittinger’s home in Gainesville features a quaint garden with great plantings. The area includes beautiful flowers, birdfeeders and creative pieces including chairs and benches that are handmade by Pat.”
