A lot of fun is had by a lot of people linking police offices with donuts and donut shops but something that will happen Friday in Gainesville is a serious matter.
Members of the Gainesville Police Department are teaming up with the Georgia Special Olympics for the first Dunkin’ Donuts "Cops on Donut Shops" event, a fundraiser for Special Olympics athletes in Georgia.
According to a press release from the department, officers will be taking it to the roof of Dunkin’ Donuts on Jesse Jewell Parkway from 5:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Friday is National Donut Day.
