With only hours left in the Memorial Day Weekend, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources says no fatalities have been reported on the state's waterways during the busy holiday.

The DNR released updated numbers Monday evening, which are not considered final. Those numbers show no fatalities and only three injuries for the weekend.

The report also shows that the Gainesville area continues to lead the state in Boating Under the Influence arrests with nine, however none were reported between 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 8:00 p.m. Monday. Gainesville also had the state's only two boating incidents involving alcohol.

Overall, the state saw 29 BUIs for the weekend and 6 "total boating incidents".

The final numbers for the Memorial Day Weekend are set to be announced Tuesday.
