One person was killed and another was injured in a head-on crash in Habersham County Saturday afternoon.

The wreck happened around 3:15 p.m. when an 1983 Oldsmobile, driven by Allen Dixon, 48, of Clarkesville, crossed the centerline of Ga. 105 (Cannon Bridge Road) near the north end of Riverbend Road and struck a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Scott Hancock, 61, of Sautee-Nacoochee, according to Cpl. Casey Coffee of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.

Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene. Hancock suffered what troopers termed non-life-threatening injuries. Highway 105 was shut down for around two hours while officials cleared the accident and was re-opened at around 5:30.

The Habersham County Sheriff's Office, fire department and emergency medical services responded. The wreck closed a section of Ga. 105 for an extended period while the crash was investigated and cleared.
