LOGANVILLE, Ga. (AP) Two people have died and a house has been destroyed in a fire in Walton County.
Media outlets report that a neighbor called 911 to report the fire near Loganville late Monday night. When firefighters arrived, flames had engulfed the structure.
Loganville police Assistant Chief Dick Lowry says it took crews ``some time'' to extinguish the fire. When firefighters searched the house, they found two deceased victims inside who were unable to get out.
Officials couldn't tell if the victims were men or women. They have not yet been identified.
Lowry says officials don't currently believe the fire was an act of arson. The fire appears to have started at the back of the house, but the cause of the fire isn't known yet.
