SUGAR HILL, Ga. (AP) Authorities are warning residents of a possible bear sighting in northern Gwinnett County.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the city of Sugar Hill alerted residents via Facebook on Saturday that a bear may be roaming the area.

Gwinnett County police say the department has received multiple calls concerning a bear sighting in Sugar Hill. Police could not locate the reported animal.

Earlier in the week, school officials spotted a young black bear at an elementary and middle school in Forsyth County.

In case of a bear sighting, Gwinnett County residents should call animal control at 770-339-3200.
