The southbound lanes of Ga. 365 near the Hall-Habersham County line were blocked for several hours Sunday afternoon after a vehicle and houseboat overturned.

The driver was headed south near Mud Creek Road when his house boat starting swaying. The driver lost control and the boat separated from the 1971 Chevrolet van, causing both to overturn, said Cpl. Nick Jenkins of Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville.

The southbound lanes remained shut down for an extended period.

Jenkins said the driver suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
