Georgia State Patrol (GSP) Post 6 in Gainesville has four new troopers in its ranks.
Troopers David Kraeling, Jack Moore, Ray Dean and Christopher Campbell are March 2016 graduates of the 97th GSP Trooper School. GSP Gainesville patrols Hall, White and Banks counties.
“The addition of these new troopers will not only allow the post to support local law enforcement agencies with crash investigations, traffic enforcement, and criminal apprehension, but it will also allow us to be even more proactive in the performance of our duties, ultimately providing more efficient service to the citizens of our state and local communities,” said Sergeant Anthony Coleman, Acting Post Commander.
Coleman released biographical information on the newly assigned troopers in a Thursday press statement:
- Trooper Kraeling is a native of Colbert. He has served in the Georgia Army National Guard in Winder for the past seven years. Trooper Kraeling has a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from North Georgia College and State University. He is also a graduate of Madison County High School.
- Trooper Moore is a Florida native. He has served in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to becoming a Marine, he served as a police officer, a sheriff’s deputy and an EMT. Trooper Moore has a master's degree and has attended the Georgia Command College in Columbus.
- Trooper Dean grew up in Cornelia and graduated from Habersham Central High School. He attended the University of North Georgia where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensics.
- Trooper Campbell is a native of Stephens County. He graduated from Stephens County High School. After high school, he was employed by Pike Electric Inc. for five years as a power utilities contractor. Trooper Campbell also worked for Escoe Industrial, Osborne Wood Products and Waste Management.
