The subject of a manhunt Tuesday afternoon in Buford, which sent two local schools into a lockdown, has been apprehended.

Dustin York, 24, allegedly threatened to kill his mother and her pets, and had apparently been under the influence of drugs for several days.

An anonymous tipster called police, saying they had seen him walking down Waverly Cove, the same street where his mother's house is located, Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release from Gwinnett County Police.

From there, officers were able to locate York at his mother's home and take him into custody.

He was transported to the Gwinnett County jail Wednesday afternoon by Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputies, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
