The Republican candidates for North Georgia's 9th District Congressional post have met a number of times on the debate stage in the last several weeks. Their latest meeting was Monday night in Gainesville before a packed house at the Brenau Downtown Center at a Town Hall meeting hosted by AccessWDUN and The Times.
All five candidates - former U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, incumbent U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, Roger Fitzpatrick, Bernie Fontaine and Mike Scupin - participated in the Monday night event.
During the 90-minute debate, the candidates fielded questions from audience members on topics ranging from education to veterans' affairs to Obamacare to support for current House Speaker Paul Ryan.
