Recently-released figures show that there are 91 active primary care physicians per 100,000 people in the U.S., a ratio that is proving worrisome to many healthcare experts. Dr. Janis M. Orlowsky, the Chief Healthcare Officer for the AAMC who primarily focuses on the interface between the healthcare delivery system and academic medicine, joined the Afternoon News Wrap this week to discuss how this shortage could affects Georgians, and how it can be avoided.
