AIKEN, S.C. — Spencer Ralston fired a 3-over par 75 Saturday on his final round of the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley to finish tied for 30th in the 54-player field.
The Gainesville senior was taking part in the three-day prestigious tournament that featured 54 of the world's top junior players.
Ralston fired a 1-over par 73 on Friday and a 6-over par 78 on Thursday's first round. On Saturday, Ralston birdied Nos. 4,7, and 8 to go with bogeys on Nos. 5 and 9 for a 35 on the front 9 for a second consecutive day. But as was the case all three days, he had trouble taming the back 9. He bogeyed Nos. 11 and 16 to go with a double-bogey on 15 for 4-over 40.
He was 3-under par on the front 9 for the tournament. He was 13-over par on the back 9 for the tournament.
Buford's S.M. Lee finished at 14-over for the tournament after shooting a 3-over 75 on Saturday.
Austin Eckroat of Edmond, Okla. won the tournament finishing at 5-under par.
