AIKEN, S.C. — Gainesville's Spencer Ralston is tied for 37th after Friday's second round of the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.

The prestigious tournament features 54 of the world's top junior players.

Ralston fired a 1-over par 73 on Friday and sits 16 shots behind Austin Eckroat of Edmond, Okla., who shot a 2-under 70 one day after posting a tournament-low 65 on the Par 72 course.

Buford's S.M. Lee is tied for 46th after shooting a 6-over 78 on Friday.

Ralston posted birdies on Nos. 3 and 4 and finished the front 9 in 35 after bogeying the Par 4 9th. He moved to 2-under on the day after a birdie at the Par 4 13th but struggled the rest of the way with bogeys on Nos. 14, 16, and 17.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday.

Gainesville's Spencer Ralston lines up a putt in a tournament earlier this season.
