A 63-year-old Gainesville man who suffers from dementia and schizophrenia was located Friday morning after being missing for two days, authorities said.
"At approximately 10:30 a.m., Hall County dispatch received a call from an observant citizen advising that our missing person Ralph Reeves was at the Kangaroo on Candler Highway," Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Nicole Bailes wrote in an email.
Authorities earlier Friday morning had asked for the public's help in locating Reeves.
Both Gainesville Police and the sheriff's office responded to the gas station upon getting word Reeves was there.
"...out of an abundance of caution, Reeves is being transported to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for evaluation," Bailes added.
Prior to Friday morning, authorities said Reeves hadn't been seen since approximately 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at a residence near the intersection of Boy Scout Camp and Sportsman Club roads.
