GAINESVILLE — Lakeview Academy got a solid outing from Rob Collison but it wasn't enough as the Lions fell 5-2 to Prince Avenue Tuesday in Region 8-A action.
Collison pitched a complete game scattering five hits to go with seven strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs.
Gabe McConnell had three hits, including a double, and Alec Bornhorst had two hits and scored a run for Lakeview. Logan Barwick had a hit, one RBI, stole a base, and scored a run for the Lions. Brannon Browner hae one hit.
The two teams will play again on Thursday in Athens.
