FLOWERY BRANCH — The Flowery Branch boys soccer team snapped a two-match Region 8-AAAAA losing streak with a 6-0 victory over Salem Tuesday night at Falcons Field.

The Falcons (7-4, 5-2 Region 8-AAAAA) moved into sole possession of second place in the region, one-half game ahead of both Clarke Central and Heritage, Conyers.

Nick Biasi and Jaden Harmon each had two goals to lead the Flowery Branch attack. Bilind Amedi and Jovanny Contreras had one goal apiece for the Falcons.

Luis Gonzalez, Aaron Gerlach, Elias Araya, and Francisco Berdecia each had one assist for Flowery Branch. Lorenzo Oropeza got the shutout in goal for the Falcons.

Flowery Branch will travel to Gainesville (7-5, 6-2) on Friday in a battle for first place in the region.

Expect a tight match. All four of Flowery Branch's losses have been by one goal and four of Gainesville losses were also by just one goal.
