Three arrested in Habersham County drug raids

Authorities in Habersham County made three drug-related arrests this week in response to citizen complaints.

According to a release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, officials with the ARDEO along with the Habersam County Sheriff's Office, the arrests were made on sepeate days at two seperate locations.

The first arrest was at a home in Cornelia on Wednesday. Officials responded to multiple citizens complaints and searched the home finding over $2,000 worth of crack cocaine, packaged marijuana and prescription pills. 31-year-old Lucas Allen Garvey of Cornelia was arrested on multiple of charges of possession and possession with intent to distribute.

The second and third arrests were made on Friday at a residence on Daniel Road in Demorest, where authorities found methamphetamine, prescription pills and a firearm. 42-year-old Richard Allen Massey of Demorest was arrested on multiple charges of possession of a controlled substance as well as one charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. 23-year-old Chapella Chloe Cantrell of Clarkesville was arrested on an outstanding parole warrant.

All three suspects were taken to the Habersham County Detention Center.
