VIDEO: Area Christians commemorate Good Friday with Stations of the Cross

For the first time in Gainesville, several churches marked Good Friday with an outdoor commemoration of the Stations of the Cross. 

For years there has been a community Good Friday service rotated among the churches - Grace Episcopal Church, Gainesville First United Methodist Church, St. Paul United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville and First Baptist Church of Gainesville. This year, the churches decided to take the Stations of the Cross outside onto Gainesville's Green Street to mark the steps Jesus took on the day of his crucifixion. 

The procession began after the Good Friday service at Grace Episcopal near Brenau University and ended at First Baptist Church on Green Street.
