Banks County seeking info on overnight gun store burglary

Investigators for the Banks County Sheriff's Office continue their investigation of an early-morning burglary at Country Boys Sports on Caudell Road.

Deputies were dispatched to an alarm call at the store south of Baldwin around 4:15 a.m. Friday. When deputies arrived, they discovered the store had been burglarized and a number of guns were missing from inside the store.

"We have requested GBI crime scene technicians and the ATF to assist us with processing the scene," said Sgt. Carissa McFaddin of Banks County Sheriff's Office. "Our investigators are actively looking into leads of the possible suspects. We are asking any citizen who may have seen anyone or who observed anything suspicious in the area to contact Investigator Spenser Ventrice at (706) 677-2248."

Local, state and federal investigators are probing the early-morning burglary of a Banks County business. Sheriff's officials say a number of guns were taken from Country Boy Sports on Caudell Road south of Baldwin around 4:15 a.m. Friday.
