University of North Georgia women's golfer Taylor Allen has been chosen as the Peach Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week as announced on Thursday afternoon by the league office.

Allen won the Brenau Golden Tiger Invitational on Tuesday with rounds of 79 and 76, putting her two shots ahead of teammate Carrilee Heirs. Allen's 76 was the low score of the tournament as she helped the Nighthawks to a 32-stroke victory in the six-team event.

The win was the junior's first of the year and the win was also the first for the team this season. Earlier this spring, Allen matched the program records for single round score with an even par at the West Alabama Dancing Rabbit Invitational.
