Baseball: North Hall pushes win streak to 6 with rout of Monroe Area

GAINESVILLE — North Hall used a 12-run first inning en route to a 15-0, four inning victory over Monroe Area Monday in Region 8-AAAA action.

The win was the sixth straight for North Hall (10-4, 5-0 Region 8-AAAA) which next will travel to Monroe Area on Wednesday. It was the third straight loss for the Hurricanes (7-8, 2-3).

Maddux Dill had two hits and four RBI to lead a nine-hit North Hall attack. Drew Atha also had two hits and Taber Mongero, Austin Adams, Josh Mancin, Jake Chester, and Clark Hill each had one hit for the Trojans.

Adams had two RBI and Mongero, Atha, Jackson Latty, Chester, Hill, and Dylan Lavender all had one RBI for North Hall.

The Trojans scored single runs in the second, third, and fourth innings.

Reece Olson got the win pitching one inning with three strikeouts. Connor Matthews pitcheed two innings allowing one hit and two walks and fanning two, Nathan Kinney struck out two in one inning to close out the game.

Maddox Dill had two hits and four RBI to lead North Hall to a Region 8-AAAA win over Monroe Area Monday night.
