A Gainesville woman was killed after her car struck a tree on Yellow Creek Road in Hall County Saturday night.
Georgia State Patrol Trooper Jordan Stamey said 26-year-old Kaitlin McEachin Pierce was driving northbound just north of Fitts Drive near Murrayville when the roadway curved slightly to the left and she continued off the road. She struck a tree with the left front bumper of her car. She was pronounced dead after being briefly hospitalized.
Stamey said there were no other vehicles involved in the wreck and there were no signs of evasive movements by Pierce prior to the crash.
