If you are looking to add a new member to the family this spring, the Hall County Animal Shelter has several opportunities in the next few weeks around Gainesville to meet some of their pets.
On Saturday March 26th, the third annual Mutts on Main will take place on the Gainesville Square that will have pet adoptions, vendors, a pet fashion show, and a costume contest.
"We'll be giving out prizes for 1st and 2nd place in the costume contest, but we will also have a lot of dogs for adoption that day. So if you are interested in adopting, Mutts on Main is a great event to stop by at," said Hall County Animal Shelter Director Cindy Langman.
In April, a fundraiser for the Animal Shelter will be available to the public for seven dollars per ticket called Pancakes for Paws.
"It is hosted by Applebees and its becoming a pretty popular fundraiser where participants get a wonderful, huge pancake breakfast," said Langman.
