Lacrosse: GHS boys win OT thriller over Meadowcreek

GAINESVILLE — The Gainesville boys lacrosse team closed out its home schedule in style Friday night beating Meadowcreek 9-8 in overtime at City Park Stadium.

John Wagner provided the game-winner scoring his only goal of the game with 13.4 seconds left in overtime.

Thomas Alexander led the way for the Red Elephants with four goals. Jack Brand and Luke Snelling also scored goals for Gainesville.

Bill Hood had four asisits and Snelling added three assists for the Red Elephants. Mathew Gaydon had one assist for Gainesville.

Sam Terray had 18 saves in goal for Gainesville.


The Red Elephants will take a break before returning to action on the road against Duluth on April 13.
