WATKINSVILLE — Lakeview Academy dropped a heartbreaker to Athens Academy, 4-3 in 11 innings, Friday in Region 8-A action.
The Lions (3-9, 0-4 Region 8-A) got a big game from Logan Barwick, who had four hits. Gabe McConnell had hits and two RBI and Peyton Solinsky added two hits for Lakeview Academy.
Rob Hamby: allowed just one earned run on five in seven innings for the Lions.
Lakeview Academy next will travel to George Walton Academy on Tuesday.
